Our Prickly Pear Fruit-Infused Vinegar Shrub perfectly preserves the flavors this sweet smelling, great tasting cactus fruit (nicknamed tunas). This flavor is a sight for sore eyes, and packs a serious flavor punch that’s hard to find and worthy of a try. We proudly source an abundance of prickly pears from our pals at Windrose Farm on the Central Coast of California.
We’ve known and worked with Catherine and Justin Welch for several years, and we can’t stay away from the abundance of productive fruit trees and healthy cactus plants at Windrose Farm. The prickly pears we source are some of the best tasting, sweetest smelling we’ve come across– thanks to the people, growing practices, climate and landscape at Windrose Farm.
We love to use our Prickly Pear flavor in dressings and marinades. Our Prickly Pear flavor also makes a great addition to a homemade cocktail made with tequila or mezcal, or mocktail with sparkling water, for anyone looking for more brightness.
